A Unique Shop,

18 Years In The Making.

My husband Mark has always been an entrepreneur since I first met him as a teenager. His dream was to open his own business someday, but never really knew what that would be.  In 2003, as we were attending a winter festival with our children, Mark saw a man stirring away in a big stainless steel pot with popcorn flying everywhere.  There was quite a line to wait for this treat, but we stood in it anyway.  When we received our fresh, hot, kettle corn Mark and I looked at each other and we knew we had found our business.  We had always enjoyed kettle corn and Mark’s family had a recipe from his grandmother.  Within a few short months, Countrytime Kettle Korn was born, and we have never looked back.

Fast forward to today, after eighteen years of making kettle corn, raising three children, loving an abundance of pets, and holding down two full time jobs, Mark began to ponder opening another business.  Before I could have time to think about it, Countrytime Creamery was being designed.

Countrytime Creamery is a unique shop unlike any other ice cream parlor.  You will find us at Stade’s Farm and Market, a sprawling agritourism destination complete with acres of strawberries, the best corn on the cob in Illinois, 8,000 apple trees, and pumpkins to suit even the most finicky of carvers.  Countrytime Creamery, with it’s delicious ice cream, waffle cones, shakes, malts, sundaes, and floats, is the perfect ending to the perfect day on the farm.  We hope to see you this soon!
